Seeds of Silene schafta Shell Pink' is a mat forming semi evergreen perennial with glossy green lance shaped leaves and small clusters of rose-pink pinwheel flowers. Forms a low cushion of tangled stems with small pointed leaves. The widely spaced petals create a starry effect. Durable and hardy for well drained soil in sun and they are happy in either woodland or rock gardens that are not overly wet in winter. Zones 3 to 9.
