Seeds of RARE FIND Dodecatheon cusickii Cusick's shootingstar. A perennial herb with single, leafless flower stems, growing from short thick root stocks with no bulbets. This native zone 5-8 perennial wildflower consists of a low rosette of leaves and a flowering stalk of flowers about ½–1½' tall. The flowering stalk is hairless and have no leaves. The hot pink star-shaped flowers hang downward are about ¾" long between April and August. They need plenty of moisture in spring, but can be quite dry during their summer dormancy.
