It is native to India, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Laos, Burma, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Flowers are pale yellow with green stalks, formed below the crownshaft. Stems are clustered, 10-15 feet tall with slender stems and green 1-2 inch stilt roots. Hardy in zones 10 -11.
