Seeds of Callistemon pachyphyllus Lime. A low to medium shrub with an open growth habit. The stiff branches develop from a lignotuber (swollen root mass). The dull green, rigid leaves are narrow and up to eight centimetres long. Flower spikes are usually red but green forms do occur. Flower spikes (of both colours) are usually ten centimetres long by five centimetres wide and appear in spring, summer and autumn. Honeyeaters are attracted to the flowers. Best in full sun. Zones 8-11.
